En mi actividad formativa, he participado en una formación sobre modelos de MI en la ESCUELA SANITARIA TÉCNICO PROFESIONAL DE NAVARRA.
El concepto de tratamiento de mínima intervención integra desde prevención primaria de la enfermedad hasta métodos quirúrgicos que impliquen mínimo trauma. Estas técnicas hacen posible la preservación de tejido dentario.
Hoy disponemos de técnicas que nos permiten prevenir la enfermedad o tratarla en fases reversibles donde minimizar los efectos secundarios del tratamiento.
El papel del higienista y el auxiliar dental en la aplicación de modelos dirigidos a la prevención es capital, ofrece una oportunidad para el desarrollo de estos profesionales, de la salud de la población general y de la clínica dental actual.
